Most Loved this Apreel

I only have 5 favorites to talk about and it's all something you can watch on the internet hence the title. He he

Sense8 on Netflix. This. show. has. everything. It revolves around 8 strangers from different parts of the world, mentally and emotionally connected to one another. What I love about it is that it highlights the diversity of culture, religion, sexuality, politics and so much more. And if you have been sticking around here long enough, then you probably already guessed that there are action scenes in this series because you know that I am a sucker for that.

What's been on my mind this February?

I've been looking for potential apartments to move into in Maryland. Assuming that things go according to plan, it would be easier to get things done once it happens. In the first week of February, my Dad and I drove to Maryland to scout the apartments I saw on Craigslist. We went to three and we ended up liking the neighborhood of the first one we went to. The thing is that they only have 1BR apartment left and considering my current situation, I can't move in just yet. Which led me to think that it's part of their marketing strategy, "Only one left, lease now before it's gone!" Right? Right. That's why I'm not working myself up on it. It's a strategy. At least that's why I think it is every time I check if it's still available.
Chuck. Oh, Chuck. Where do I start? Best TV series ever? I decided to watch all seasons this month and it also led me to Netflix. (I discovered that my Dad has a Netflix account that no one was using. um, not anymore!) So, yes, Chuck. Action, check. Comedy, check. Romance, check. Nothing more I could ask for in a show. Hello, Zachary Levi, may reklamo ka pa ba?
Songs that you play on the background for the perfect chill day at home, together with Bon Iver and The xx.
It should only take a few more days before I get a reply from the Maryland BON. I hope it all goes well! Positive wishes my way? :)
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny - I've known about this months before when I saw Natasha Bordizzo's post about it. She is/was blogger too and now she's an actress making her first appearance on film! The movie itself was great. I was easily enticed by the cinematography, beats the first CTHD. The fighting sequence was better on the first, albeit still good. It has its flaws but I still think it's worth watching!
Sriracha should have been on my previous Most Loved entry!  It slipped my mind and since this somewhat turned out to be favorites post, I'd just add it here. Spice up your sinigang with sriracha! Use it as a condiment, don't add into your pot. :P

Ps. Would you be interested on an Empties post? I have empty bottles and tub of what nots waiting to be thrown out.

The Happy List

  • My new Blogger theme!
  • I have recently finished watching Jessica Jones and it made me realize how I appreciate a good villain. Kilgrave (Jessica Jones), Moriarty (Sherlock Holmes) and Christopher Pellant (Bones) are definitely a favorite.
  • Cheap but great books on Barnes & Noble! $12 for 3 books, namely, The Greatest Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, Great Tales of Horror and Joyland.
  • Finally settling an unfinished business from my previous employer.
  • Moved a few small furnitures in my room which made it look and feel a little different.
  • As some of you may know by now, a blizzard came to the East Coast this weekend leaving 2-3 feet of snow. It gave me the perfect excuse to go out and play. How cute is my BB-8! (Snapchat @jmichbio if ever you're wondering!)

That Post When I Talked About My Favorite Series

Growing up as a latchkey child, I had a lot of free time on my own and one of my favorite things to do is watch the television. Lizzie McGuire, That's So Raven, Boy Meets World and Even Stevens were a few of my favorites as a kid. Then when I turned into a teen, I'd force myself to stay up until 10PM just to catch my favorite shows on TV, by then it was Chuck, How I Met Your Mother, Bones, ER and Charmed reruns.

So, why the hell am I making this post? Well, it has recently come to my attention that I have no one to fangirl with. I always see people on my news feed talking about The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones and HTGAWM, but none are talking about Grey's Anatomy, Marvel's Agent of SHIELD or Heroes Reborn. I mean, those are REALLY GOOD shows too!

I guess what I'm trying to do here is to show you guys what you're missing. I'm going to try to briefly talk about my current favorites and maybe when you find yourself doing nothing and you want to "Netflix and chill", you'll remember this short list and save yourself from potential boredom. Lol

Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - Action and SciFi. My current ABSOLUTE favorite at the moment! It's basically set in a Marvel Universe; Marvel films coexists with the series which makes it more interesting. For me, an action series is nothing without a hand to hand combat and this show gives you that and even more. By more, I mean kilig and haha-s. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is currently on its third season so it wouldn't be that hard to catch up if you want! Other Marvel series are Agent Carter and Jessica Jones.

Young & Hungry - Comedy. It's about a personal chef who happened to have a one-night stand with her boss; that's kinda where the story starts from. As I said on my last post, I find it really funny and you'll just have to see it for yourself. Other comedy series I'm watching are The Big Bang Theory and Modern Family.

Black Mirror - SciFi and Satire. I only started watching this on July 2015 and I still haven't seen season 1 of episode 3 because I got sidetracked by other shows. Judging on the two episodes that I've seen, Black Mirror isn't like any other series. It's mind boggling and thought provoking. Each season only has 3 episodes but Season 3 will be coming in with 12 episodes on Netflix so I guess that's good news!

Heroes Reborn - Science Fiction. It's a miniseries which only has 13 episodes, a continuation of Heroes, it's main series that ended in 2010. I'm quite sad that it's about to end because it is so good. :( If you're going to watch it, please be mindful of everyone and everything that's happening to avoid confusion. Haha

And of course, Grey's Anatomy will always and forever be a favorite!

What are your current favorite series? I'm open to anything (Kdrama, animes, etc.) and would love to check out your suggestions!

Ps. If you're already watching any of these series and you need a fangirl buddy, leave your twitter handle on the comments and I can be your person (GA reference *wink)!
