Most Loved this Spring

I am well aware that it is already summer but I wanted to give a few of these products more time for me to decide if I really love it.

I've had eczema since I was a kid and it's something that would come and go. I had bad flare-ups on my chest and shoulders for the past month and mometasone cream alone wasn't doing it for me, but it helped A LOT when I add a bit of that cream with a pea size amount of the Aveeno baby moisturizing cream. I also use the moisturizing wash in the shower. I think it's best for me to stay away from lotions and body wash that aren't for sensitive skin. Such a baby.

This one, I've had for a while. It's Verve by Mac. Satin finish. Muted brownish-plum as described on their website. I know it's not meant to be ingested but I like the taste. I wasn't the kind of person who always wear lipstick even in college. The only time I wore lipstick back then was on my graduation day and those two occasion that I had photos taken for a grad pic. With the constant reminder from my mom and boyfriend that I should try wearing lipstick, I am now a changed woman. I wear color on my lips whenever I go out and I love it.

Di na ko makakarinig ng "Maglagay ka nga ng lipstick" (wears nude shade) "Ang putla naman niyan"

Verve (top) and Spirit (bottom)

This Neutrogena Rapid Tone Repair helped significantly on the hyperpigmentation caused by my pimples. I try to use it day and night, sometimes I fail, but it still lighten the spots. Really. Peksman!

Yoga Mat from Gaiam. For when my back is starting to ache and tells me to stretch ma bodeh and do home yoga with the help of Youtube videos.

Lastly, Game of Thrones! I've seen the first 5 episodes five years ago but I stopped watching because I thought the nudity was too much and their accents are hard to comprehend. Especially when they're talking too fast and all I want to do is grasp all that they are saying (the names, the names are hard to catch on the first few episodes. Mad King who? Bastard who?) I decided to give it another try, started seven days ago and now on the last two episode of Season 4!

That's all, m'lady/m'lord!

  1. I have eczema too and it sucks! :/ Moisturizing really helps a lot. Sadly, I couldn't find the eczema therapy of Aveeno here but I would like to try it myself.

    1. Maybe you can try First Aid Beauty's Ultra Repair Cream from Sephora. They have the same active ingredient - colloidal oat. Yun nga lang mahal FAB kaya I use Aveeno more often. Haha

  3. I never came across any blogger that talks about having born with eczema. you're the first one and boy was I glad I find someone other than me with eczema. I've heard of Aveeno products being good for eczema but it's not available here so that's a bummer :( I've been having a hard time finding good products for eczema, especially body wash. even body wash addressed for sensitive skin sometimes cause flare ups (like the Johnson's milk and rice baby bath; it doesn't really work well with me anymore). I've heard of cetaphil for eczema but it's pricey so I'm not trying it out yet. I guess sulfate in body wash is the one that strips moisture off my skin hence I try to find sulfate free body wash for babies. I'd trap moisture using body butter right after I take a shower though. sometimes when I have flare ups, I use ointments for eczema / psoriasis skin and that helps reduce the dry patches.

the MAC lipstick is lovely. MAC has so many pretty color variants but I can't stand going to MAC stores due to their employees :))

    1. Oh, I can name a few vloggers/bloggers! SoothingSista, daceyhapa and Abbie(you might wanna read on this post by her too!)

The derma I saw before when I was a kid recommended Dove bar soap (comes in white and dark blue box.) But before I had my flareups this time, I was using Dove body wash so, I stayed away from that for the meantime. Cetaphil was super great for my skin especially when I had eczema on my face during college. (It was really bad especially with stress.) Try getting a small bottle of Cetaphil to see if it works for you.

Same here! What I do is check out the stuff that I want to buy online before going to the store, most of the time I just order them on their site. Haha

  4. I'm currently on a look-out for a dark spot corrector for days and stumbling upon this post might be a blessing for me. I've already tried out two different dark spot corrector creams but both of them didn't work and I might wanna try this. Thanks Mich!

  5. Ohh. I saw those Aveeno products in the supermarket. Didn't realize it was that effective. I probably need that Tone Repair, I'm having a hard time removing the hyperpigmentation caused by breakouts. Seriously though. Just when you finally get it out of your skin, a new pimple comes along. Surprise surprise. Haha.

    1. The other cream I was looking for wasn't available on any stores I've been to so I opted to go with Aveeno since it was aimed for treating eczema and also because Target had a deal for both the cream and wash. Haha

  7. I have skin asthma and I was recommended Aveeno for when I flare up. It really helped me a lot! I haven't been having flareups lately, but I always turn to Aveeno when I need it. XD
