About to get a job? Here are some possible interview questions!

On my past entry, I mentioned that I was called for a job interview. I thought I'd share some questions that may help you prepare for future interviews. If you are about to get a job or know someone who is, feel free to read on and share, hopefully you pick up an idea that can be useful for you!

General Questions:
  • Tell me about yourself.
  • Do you know a lot about (insert the name of the company you are applying for)?
  • How did you find out about us?
  • Give me three reasons why you are applying for this job.
  • Tell me about that time when you exceeded in your job.
  • Some people prefer to multitask and some prefer to do things one at a time, which one are you?
  • What are your salary requirements?
  • What is your preferred job schedule? Full time/Part time/Per Diem/Temporary
  • What is your preferred shift work? Days/Evenings/Night
Nursing Related Questions:
  • Are you interested in taking additional courses? What would you like to take?
  • Was there a time that you helped the least fortunate? In what way did you help?
  • In your personal or work experience, have you ever encountered a bad-tempered client? How did you handle it?
  • In team nursing, you are able to work together with other personnel, what would you do if a member doesn't do his job?
Besides the questions listed above, they also reviewed and verified the information on my resume. I hope that helps!

If you're already employed, how was your first interview? I remember during the interview, I was distracted by a spider hanging outside the huge office window! We were on the fourth floor, imagine that!
